Program Budgeting in the Real World (Instructed by Katherine Ann Reilly)

Budgeting is a crucial component of planning. It provides an outline of how the mission and objectives of the organization will be actualized in the upcoming year. This class, conducted in a computer lab, will provide you with the secrets of successful budgeting and with hand-on experience using Excel to create and adapt a budget to changing circumstances. Learn how to develop a budget, monitor actual income and expenses, and compare them to your budget. Practice creating a cash flow statement that can be used for monitoring and projecting cash flow on a monthly basis, and learn a method of allocating shared costs. This class also provides an opportunity to practice basic Excel commands, functions and formulas, as well as experience in linking spreadsheets and moving data to and from Excel.
