The Photo Review 2010 Benefit Auction

On Saturday, November 6 at 7 PM, The Photo Review will hold its 2010 Benefit Auction at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Among the work featured are rare vintage and later prints by such historic masters as Edouard Baldus, Edward S. Curtis, Nell Dorr, Kusakabe Kimbei, Nathan Lyons, Ralph Eugene Meatyard, Man Ray, Herb Ritts, George Seeley, Carleton E. Watkins, and Weegee. Among the contemporary photo stars whose work will go on the block are Andrew Borowiec, Marilyn Bridges, Lucien Clergue, Mark Citret, Larry Fink, Lois Greenfield, Jefferson Hayman, Chip Hooper, Henry Horenstein, Michael Kenna, Elaine Ling, David Maisel, Rania Matar, Joe Mills, Jeffrey Milstein, Lori Nix, Bill Owens, Orville Robertson, Lynn Saville, Jack Spencer, Catherine Steinmann, Maggie Taylor, George Tice, Jonathan Torgovnik, Jerry N. Uelsmann, Hiroshi Watanabe, and Joel-Peter Witkin.

A silent auction, concurrent with the live auction, will feature photography and computer equipment and software, film and paper, restaurant meals, museum memberships, theater tickets, books, etc.

The Philadelphia preview will be held at the University of the Arts, Hamilton Hall, Broad and Pine Streets, on Friday, November 5 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Saturday, November 6 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., just prior to the auction.
