Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance

CodeYear/CatCode Meet-Up for Libraries, Archives and Museums Professionals

Are you an archivist, librarian, museum professional, or enthusiast? Do you want to learn more tools toward being a data wrangler? Do you like meeting with other folks who are trying to learn this, too? Do you want to just hang out at the bar?

If you haven't already joined, the CodeAcademy CodeYear program is an awesome, step-by-step, no prior experience necessary way to learn javascript (one of the building block languages of the web), and to learn some fundamental concepts in coding. It's not too late to join -- just go to http://codeyear.com/ .

And to keep you motivated, join us on the third Monday of each month at National Mechanics in Old City Philadelphia to meet up, ask questions, spend some time doing the tutorials, or just get started. EVERYONE is welcome, regardless of technical ability.

Our first meet up will be Monday, March 19 at 6:00. National Mechanics is located at 22 South 3rd Street, and is extremely easy to reach via public transportation. Bring your laptop!

Please feel free to distribute this invitation widely! We hope to see you there.
