Maud Lyon

Maud Lyon has led the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance since 2015. As president, she works with community leaders, funders and other stakeholders outside of the cultural sector to bring resources to arts and culture and works with arts and culture nonprofit leaders to help their organizations to thrive. Maud believes that increasing diversity and making the cultural sector more inclusive and equitable is not only essential for arts and culture, it is a way that our sector can help Greater Philadelphia to live these values as well.  As a former history museum curator and director, Maud is passionate about the importance of history and civic engagement.  Her favorite recreation is being in beautiful natural places, so Maud is a frequent visitor at the many public gardens of our region.
