Win All Access Passes and Tickets to Next Year’s Festival

Contest Dates: August, 22 to September, 24, 2011

Philadelphia, PA -- Ready, Aim, Click! The Philadelphia Live Arts Festival and Philly Fringe, in partnership with Phillyfunguide.com and PNC Arts Alive, is holding a photo competition as part of this year’s festival, running September 2 - 17. Festival visitors can submit photos in three categories, and the photographer who submits the most popular photo will win the Grand Prize - an All Access Pass to the 2012 Festival. Everyone can vote for their favorite photos online at either www.Phillyfunguide.com/contest or http://www.livearts-fringe.org/contest.

“This contest celebrates the spontaneity and energy of the festival,” said Festival Producing Director Nick Stuccio. “There are thousands of incredible happenings at the festival; this is an opportunity to share those great moments and to have some fun.”

This year, the annual Festival, presented by PNC Arts Alive, celebrates its 15th year with 16 days of nonstop groundbreaking performances and wild creativity. The Festival features cutting-edge dance, theater, music and interdisciplinary works by renowned artists from the U.S. and international contemporary arts scene alongside local talent.

Photo submissions begin the day that the Philadelphia Live Arts Festival and Philly Fringe box office opens, August 22nd. Voting goes live starting on September 2, the first day of the Festival, and ends on September 24th, one week after the Festival concludes. In addition to the Grand Prize, there are also prizes for each category winner and a special prize for the artist or performer who is featured in the top vote getting ‘Papparazzi’ shot.

Prizes
One Grand Prize winner, the photographer whose photo attains the most overall votes from any category, will receive an All-Access pass to the 2012 Philadelphia Live Arts Festival and Philly Fringe, a value of $400.

The photographers who submitted the top vote getting picture in the two remaining categories will each receive four (4) complimentary ticket passes to the 2012 Philadelphia Live Arts Festival and Philly Fringe ($100 value); third place receives two (2) complimentary ticket passes to the 2012 Philadelphia Live Arts Festival and Philly Fringe ($50 value).

The festival performer whose photo receives the most votes wins free registration and marketing fees for the 2012 Festival. (Their artist registration and marketing fees waived at a value of $325).

Voting is done through a partnership with Phillyfunguide, the region’s “go-to” web site for accurate and detailed information about upcoming cultural, entertainment and sporting events. Everyone can participate. Submit your best shots and vote on your favorite photos at Phillyfunguide.com/contest. Do it at home, on your lunch break, or right there at the festival using your smart phone. The system allows one vote per category per day for each IP address, so come back each day of the contest to see new submissions and vote for your favorites. **Please note, photos must NOT be taken during actual performances without explicit permission from the performers.**
