Archive a Greater Philly Summer Memory in the Free Library!

Our August action campaign is in partnership with The Spaces Between Your Fingers project.  SBYF helps people of all ages author and preserve their memories through postcards as a creative, artistic way to symbolically combat the memory-loss of Alzheimer's and dementia. Cards are then archived in the SBYF "memory vault" at the Free Library of Philadelphia so the memories will never be lost.

For the month of August, we'll be working with AHHAH (Arts Holding Hands and Arts) to present memory postcard workshops at senior centers throughout the region, and we're also asking you to submit your own postcards with a favorite memory of a summer experience in the Greater Philadelphia region. Get the postcard template here!

How can you get involved? Get the GroundSwell postcard template and write your Greater Philly summer memory as a story or a poem, or depict it as a painting or drawing—whatever you think best captures it! Once you've crafted your postcard, you can scan a copy and email it to us at getinvolved@philaculture.org, or snail mail it to us at:
